Clinical Nutritionists at New York’s #1 Hospital: A Growing, High-Profile Team

At NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, we put patients first. It’s a commitment that everyone on our team shares. And it’s what drives our success as one of the nation’s leading hospitals.

Ranked #1 in New York and #6 in the nation by U.S.News & World Report (America’s Best Hospitals 2010-2011), we’re more than proud – we’re inspired to do more.

Join us. Step into a culture that underscores the power of nutrition to heal, the importance of diet and nutrition to well-being, and the value of the Registered Dietitian (RD) as a member of the interdisciplinary team.

More Than Diet

The best in the field, our Nutritionists have moved beyond diet into the realms of preventive and community care. We employ a consultant-like approach. For patients and colleagues, we’re trusted experts on the use of nutrition as a component of therapy.

That means work that is broad and meaningful. Partnering with our colleagues in Patient Food Service, we make sure patients receive the best intake from a temperature, safety, taste and aesthetic perspective. We share ideas openly, and we’re always creating programs and expanding our knowledge of nutrition.

Ever-Expanding Knowledge

At NewYork-Presbyterian, nutritional success begins with learning. Generous reimbursement programs help you seek advanced degrees and certification – and cover the cost of membership in professional organizations. Nutrition Grand Rounds and Monthly Nutrition Outcomes Lectures are opportunities to learn and present. We’re also home to one of the largest and longest-standing hospital-based dietetic internship programs in the nation, with over 1,300 graduates since 1940.

Here, passion for learning is the driving force for achievement.
